Charlene standing next to one of the pilings which will be one side of the garage door opening.

SIL Dana Thompson up on the ladder tightening down the 'go-bolts'. You can see one hanging down in front of the piling...

A good view of both octagons. You can see that we've finished the sheathing.

Charlene checking the level of the top of the spiral stairwell.

Friend Ron cutting back the kneewall around the spiral staircase opening...

Ron's idea of a smile!

Dana taking his turn on the masonry bit...Damn that's hard concrete.

Hamming it up...

With Ron and Dana lowering the treads onto the support pole, I manned the ladder to lower them. The pole is just under 16' tall, 4.5" in dia.

Almost the last tread...too bad the landing was wrong! We would have finished up the stair today.

Me. On the ladder lowering one of the treads...

Looking down the spiral staircase opening.

Looking up from the outside wall toward the kitchen.

Standing behind the kitchen island.

Looking from the hall into the master bedroom thru the pocket door.

A good look at 2 of the pocket door frames Dana and I installed this morning.

Looking toward the bedroom down the pantry/wet bar wall.

This shot shows the 'go-bolt' system. You see 4 of the bolts (2 on each side of the corner between the big sliding door and one of the window walls.

The small octagon's views aren't too shabby...
